Three glazed courtyards are arranged in a pinwheel formation around a central living and dining zone, drawing natural light deep into the home while maintaining constant visual connection to the landscape. This considered layout allows for passive solar heating in winter and encourages natural cross-ventilation in summer, enhancing year-round comfort.
Each courtyard offers a unique outdoor experience. One provides a peaceful setting for morning light and breakfast, another features a swimming pool, spa and double-sided fireplace, while the third opens to a waterfront deck complete with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen, servery and retractable roof—perfect for entertaining against the backdrop of the lake.
Inspired by mid-century modern design, the home balances clean lines with a rich material palette. Rendered masonry blockwork delivers a grounded, textural base, with both smooth and honed finishes adding subtle variation. Feature sections of staggered blockwork filter light and air, while powder-coated aluminium battens in a warm bronze tone provide privacy, shading and a strong architectural identity.
Internally, the U-shaped configuration enhances both openness and privacy, allowing light to permeate throughout while creating distinct zones for relaxation and retreat. The expansive central living and dining area forms the heart of the home, seamlessly connected to the outdoors through large-format glazing and sliding doors. Exposed aggregate concrete floors flow across the lower level, complemented by hydronic heating for comfort and durability.
The kitchen is designed with both functionality and entertaining in mind, featuring integrated appliances, multiple preparation zones and a refined material palette. Tasmanian Blackwood cabinetry introduces warmth, while a sculptural Bianco Macaubas stone benchtop anchors the space. A discreet yet highly functional layout ensures the kitchen remains both practical and visually streamlined.
A double-sided fireplace connects the main living area to the outdoor deck, creating a cohesive indoor-outdoor experience and inviting moments of relaxation beside the water.
Throughout the home, bedrooms and study spaces are thoughtfully zoned for privacy, each detailed with soft finishes and custom joinery. Bathrooms continue the home’s refined aesthetic, combining full-height tiling with natural timber elements for a sense of understated luxury.
