Externally, a palette of earthy materials and a striking 45-degree roof pitch anchor the home to its surroundings. Locally sourced Honey Granite stone is used to great effect, complemented by Lysaght iron cladding and an Enseam roof that introduces a subtle industrial edge. Traditional farmhouse detailing, including half-round gutters, adds further character and balance.

A ‘C’-shaped floorplan forms the foundation of the design, creating a central courtyard that acts as the heart of the home, with guest and master wings positioned at either end and connected by an expansive open-plan living zone. The home features an extensive undercover entertaining area complete with integrated screens, an outdoor fireplace and a dramatic 25-metre lap pool that extends outward from the hillside. A stone-clad pool house provides additional amenity, while the seamless integration of services ensures a clean and considered finish.

Inside, the home opens to a light-filled entry with polished concrete floors and full-height glazing framing views to the central courtyard. The main living zone is defined by soaring cathedral ceilings and exposed black steel trusses, creating a bold architectural statement softened by natural light from roof windows and expansive glazing. A central fireplace anchors the space, while adjacent living areas and a built-in daybed capture views across the pool and surrounding landscape.

The kitchen continues the home’s industrial influence, with stainless steel benchtops, custom cabinetry and a well-appointed butler’s pantry, all designed for both functionality and visual impact. The guest wing offers private, well-appointed accommodation, including ensuite bedrooms, a mudroom, laundry and additional service spaces, all connected with the same attention to detail and material continuity seen throughout the home.

Thoughtful zoning ensures a balance of connection and privacy, with a dedicated home office and a separate master retreat featuring expansive views, a dressing area and a refined ensuite.

Sustainability is integral to the design, with high-performance glazing, extensive insulation, zoned hydronic heating and passive ventilation working together to enhance comfort and efficiency. Solar power, water harvesting systems and carefully designed shading further support the home’s environmental performance.

With its considered planning, robust materiality and exceptional craftsmanship, this residence is a sophisticated rural home that seamlessly blends lifestyle, function and design integrity.
