Spacious yet thoughtfully zoned, this highly adaptable home functions equally well as a vibrant gathering place for extended family or a calm, low-maintenance retreat for a couple.
At its core, the home is centred around a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and living zone—an inviting hub designed for connection and everyday living. A gently sloping roof form references traditional beach house architecture, while strategically placed clerestory windows introduce abundant natural light and enhance the sense of openness throughout. This space flows seamlessly to a series of outdoor areas, including an inground pool and landscaped garden, creating an ideal setting for entertaining on any scale.

The kitchen is both functional and refined, featuring stone waterfall benchtops, custom cabinetry and integrated appliances that maintain a clean, cohesive aesthetic. This central space is complemented by a series of flexible zones—including a study and dedicated playroom—ensuring the home can adapt to changing needs while maintaining privacy for all occupants.

Designed as a single-level residence, accessibility was a key consideration. A custom timber ramp provides easy entry, while wide circulation spaces and carefully planned layouts ensure comfort for all ages. Each bedroom includes its own ensuite, offering both convenience and independence, while a custom-built bunkroom provides a playful and practical solution for accommodating children and guests.

Externally, the home showcases a refined approach to materiality and detail. Precast concrete panels with timber plank formwork create a subtle wood-grain texture across key façades, while locally sourced stringybark timber clads the southern elevation and pool pavilion. Positioned for privacy, the pavilion includes a custom-built daybed, offering a secluded space to unwind.

Despite planning constraints requiring a compact footprint, the home has been designed with exceptional spatial efficiency. Beneath the home, the natural slope of the site has been utilised to create a substantial semi-basement level. This space accommodates a four-car garage, cellar, laundry, plant room and ample storage, including dedicated areas for surfboards—perfectly suited to the coastal lifestyle.
