Delivered by Hedger Constructions, the project reflects a commitment to precision, durability and thoughtful design—balancing operational efficiency with a strong architectural presence.
From the outset, the scope of the Alexandra Police Station project required a comprehensive approach, with the Hedger team responsible for material sourcing and the full construction of all key components of the facility. This included administration areas, secure holding cells and a range of operational spaces, each designed to meet strict performance, safety and compliance requirements. Every element of the build was carefully considered to ensure functionality, longevity and ease of use for staff and the broader community.

Internally, the station has been planned to support efficient day-to-day operations, with clearly defined zones that enhance workflow while maintaining high levels of security. Robust materials and finishes have been selected throughout to withstand the demands of a high-use public facility, without compromising on visual quality or comfort.

Externally, the building presents a confident and modern form, contributing positively to the streetscape of Alexandra. Clean lines and a contemporary material palette give the station a strong civic identity, reinforcing its role as an important piece of community infrastructure.

The result is a highly functional and resilient facility that not only meets operational requirements, but also establishes a lasting and considered presence within the town, to serve the region well into the future.
